Painted toast
In one of the activities in August, toddlers were told to "paint" their favourite playground on their own bread. How did we make the paint?
Well, we used milk and mixed it with food colouring.
Here, children learnt about colour transformation as they saw how the colour changed when milk was mixed with the food colouring.
Materials needed:
bread
non-fat milk
food colouring
clean paintbrushes
cups to store coloured milk
plates

It was time to "paint" your own playground on your bread, children!
Pei Jie used the brush and painted yellow on her bread.
Kai Yee did not have time for the camera anymore.
She was focused in painting her bread!
Now that everybody's done with the painting, let's try our painted bread!
Kayden folded his bread to eat.
Playground rubbing
Next activity was "Playground rubbing".
Our little toddlers were going to be little artists outdoor.
They used white paper and crayons to do some rubbing on the different surfaces and
textures outdoors. Besides the playground, they also explored the fitness corner.
They did many crayon rubbings on big trees, small leaves, small bricks, small twigs and many more!
Children here were rubbing against the rough surface of the pavement and curb!
Celeste now was rubbing against the stoned floor.
Kayden was rubbing against the rubber floor.
And now, Muhsayne and Kayden tried rubbing on the surface of one of the exercise equipment.
